Lord Of Misrule - Lush Autumn/Winter 2014

Once upon a time in a far way kingdom lived the Lord of Misrule....

This bath ballistic took me away to a fairy tale land, one far far away.

When I look at the Lord of Misrule bath bomb, I think of fields of pastel green grass in a land far far away, however once dropped in the bath the colours really come out, Mixing the green with a beautiful baby pink (some may say flowers blossoming from the grass?) turning darker and darker as it fizzes away. Once it has run its course I was left with a bath that resembled red wine, with very fine sliver glitter, topped off with popping candy, this truly makes the bath bomb magical for me and is the icing on the cake so to speak.

The smell lingered around on me and in my bathroom for a ages afterwards, I have one word that instantly pops to mind when I think of this bath bomb and the gorgeous array of scents, from patchouli and black pepper, The Lord of Misrule is just sooo.. cozy, its just so blooming wonderfully comforting!

As well as being a physically lovely bath bomb, it also has a really interesting background story. The Lord of Misrule bath bomb is inspired by the Pagan Feast of Fools, a popular festival in the middle ages. The festival was held around January 1st (hence why it has come out in Lush's 2014 Halloween/Christmas collection). Read more about the Feast of Fools

This is up there with one of my all time favourite bath ballistics that Lush have ever done, it is a Fairytale.

Northern Lights - Lush Autumn/Winter 2014

My second experience with the Lush Halloween goodies was with the Northern Lights bath ballistic. This one I was expecting great things from. Retailing at £3.50 Northern Lights is something new to Lush, it is themed around Bonfire/Fireworks night along with the Sparkler ballistic (I am saving this one for Fireworks evening its self).

While looking spectacular, like it is going to give you one hell of a show, the immediate fragrance of Ylang Ylang Oil and Jasmine absolute is very relaxing, a winner if you're looking for something to send you to sleep. Even though it is not my favourite smell, I am more of a sweet smells person the traditional smell of Lush, Northern Lights did smell lovely, perfect for anyone who loves a floral fragrance.
However Northern Lights did put on a bloody good show in my bath, its a slow one just like Shoot for the Stars. The only way I can describe this ballistic is like watching a 70's firework display. It starts off spinning whirling round in a deep purple and lilac display, going on to release bright blues and neon greens. Although it has relaxing smell it's show is a far out colourful spectacle.

Shoot for the Stars - Lush Autumn/Winter Collection 2014

This was the first bath ballistic I tried from the Autumn/Winter collection.

If you're like me you save the best until last, like saving the crispiest roast potato from your sunday roast dinner until last or saving the orange smarties until last. Well I did this with my Halloween bath ballistics, I chose Shoot for the Stars to use first, the one I had the least expectations from, and it proved me wrong, it has been my favourite so far.

Shoot for the Stars bath ballistic turned my bath into the night sky. When I dropped it in there wasn't much going on but there was a lot of fragrance. Lush makes sure that when something comes out in the Halloween and Christmas collections there is something in the permanent line that has similar fragrance so we don't miss them too much when they disappear for the rest of the year. Shoot for the Stars is no different it has a very similar fragrance to 'Honey I washed the kids' soap, a lush staple!
My bathroom was immediately filled with a sweet honey-toffee scent.

After a while though it wasn't just the scent that filled in the room, the bath was filled with blue water that looked like the early evening sky turning into the pitch black night sky. There was also bursts of red and yellow fizz, inter twined with silver glitter that looked like the sparkling stars above. It took a good ten minutes to fully disperse into the full wonderful spectacle it is.

I am really hoping that Lush makes Shot for the Stars a permanent, or create ones very similar for the permanent line. There is something magical about the way this ballistic turns into the night sky, its so relaxing and perfect for a chilled evening after a particularly stressful day.

Hello my name is Jess and I am a Lushaholic

I have a happy place, a place where I can gather my thoughts, relax and just be. Lush.

I feel like my whole blog is about pampering and baths, well I am a self confessed pamper prude, and today is no different. I am going to let you in on a little (not so) secret, I have a Lush obsession especially when the Halloween and Christmas collections come out. During the autumn and winter months I look forward to staying home watching X Factor and having a pamper after a lovely long Lush bath on a Sunday or Saturday night, I know I am wild!

I have a Lush store on the way home from work, this means one thing, my poor, poor bank card. So one day after work, I ventured into the Lush shop in search of the Halloween collection - I will be getting the Christmas collection, I just thought it was a bit excessive to get it all in one go. I was very happy to see that it was all in stock, I was worried as I know the collection was selling out quickly and the Lush store that I always visit is very small with limited stock. I think it is safe to say they had everything that I wanted and more

I have a few favourites that I want to share with you from the Halloween collection so I am going to do a mini series of Lush reviews from the Lush Halloween and Christmas 2014 collection. I know what you're thinking even more pampering posts, I just can't get enough.

Zoella Beauty - Exciting new beauty

Ahh the beauty event we've all been waiting for - well if you are a youtube & blogger addict like me, its ZOELLA BEAUTY.

Since 2009 when I started watching the then Zoella280390 I knew I loved her and her videos, I remember some of her very first videos that I still love now, with a few of them being in my favourites playlist. I think I can safely say on behalf of everyone that blogs, youtubes or is just a Zoe Sugg subscriber that this beauty launch is not only exceptionally lovely but it has a special significance, as for many of us Zoe was on of the first youtubers we watched, igniting our love for all things youtube and beauty. I find Zoe such a huge inspiration, she has such a great career doing something she loves doing, and so many of us (6 million to be precise) love watching and reading Zoella. She brings such happiness to so many people, a true role model.

On September the 25th Zoe held a launch party for her Zoella Beauty range, I knew there would be a whole loads of vlogs going up on the 26th September giving us a insight into the party and the range itself, I am not going to beat around the bush I was frantically (maybe a little dramatic, but I was very excitedly) refreshing my subscription box on youtube waiting for the vlogs, trust me they were worth the wait.

The products launched on the 25th September online at Feelunique.com and 29th in Superdrug stores nationwide. I am so glad that Zoe brought out a bath and body range, every girl (or boy) needs some pampering time, nothing can make you feel more relaxed after a manic Monday than a hot bath filled and followed with lovely products, it can turn anyone's day around. I had a mooch around on the feelunique site, as you can imagine all the products are incredibly cute, fun and yet still remain sophisticated, so both adults and young'uns can enjoy them. I adore the lovely coral colour that runs throughout the range. The Fizz Bar caught my eye more than anything because like Zoe I am a massive bath person, I love nothing more than a good pampering bath.

Later in the week after the products launched and me drooling over the products, one of my best friends Jess surprised me with some goodies from Zoe's beauty range. She kindly got me the Zoe's eyes makeup bag/pencil case and my favourite thing from the range, the Fizz Bar Bath Fizzers.

I could't wait to use the products, as soon as I got home a re housed all of my favourite makeup items into my new makeup bag. I started to run a bath, as I was going out in the evening, to make me feel extra special I used the Fizz Bar.

I run a nice hot bath, I poured little but of bubble bath, following that I broke off two squares of the beautiful smelling bar, then dropping them into the bath. I adore the concept of the Fizz Bar looking like a chocolate bar. The smell is so simply refreshing, yet girly and uplifting, perfect for a bath before a girls night out.

All in all I absolutely love the Zoella Beauty line from what I have tried so far, now I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the line, next up will definitely be the Lets Glow Candle and The Blissful Mist.

You can purchase the Zoella Beauty Range in selected Superdrug stores and online at Feelunique.com

On a side note...

I was working away when I saw the Zoella YouTube advert on the TV in the Reception, How exciting, its like watching the Christmas Coca Cola advert!

Until next time...

We all went down to the woods today..

Hello my lovelies,

Due to my boyfriend turning 25 (the wrong side of 30 as he calls it) we gathered the team and we ventured out into the English countryside for 5 relaxing days of long walks, log fires and all things nature!

After doing lots of research we decided, to stay in tree house in Sherwood Forrest just like Robin Hood, due to Robin Hood being the boys favourite tale. We booked our tree house through Forrest Holidays, there was 9 of us in total so we decided on the luxury Golden Oak Tree House for the duration of our stay. The main cabin sleeps 8, with a small yet beautiful tree house attached that sleeps the extra 2 people.

The main cabin was everything the website said it would be. Log fires and hot tubs galore. Also opting for the full entertainment package, meant we could get lots of films, sky sports for the boys and some great music channels so we could dance the night away. Along with all of that the package also included unlimited wifi for the entire stay, we did have a few teething problems with the wifi but we did sort this out in the end, after a few visits to the Forrest Retreat, the onsite shop/reception helpdesk/cafe/bar.
We had a fully functional kitchen with everything we could possibly need, pots, pans and even baking trays. This came in very handy as we decided to do a come dine with me type of week, with 4 couples hosting their own dinner parties each night.

Although the cabin was amazing, set in the most beautiful Forrest, the real gem of the week was mine and the boys mini tree house.  It was across a rickety bridge along from the main cabin. Upon entering the tree house we had our own little hall way area, to the left was a gorgeous en-suite. However the main attraction was the bed room, with all off set walls, the windows and pictures were wonky, giving it a magical storybook feeling, I felt like I was in the Shire (for all you Hobbit fans out there). The pictures on the wall above the bed in middle were all Alice in Wonderland themed, which is one of my favourite stories. At every turn and behind every cupboard there was a surprise, behind one of the wardrobe doors there was a hidden dressing table built in, behind another were robes and slippers for us both, along with luxury towels. I am trying to explain how gorgeous this place really is but I am not doing it much justice I will let the pictures speak for me...

Over the bridge...

Inside the rabbit hole

Sherwood Forrest

Myself & The Boy

Our rubber ducky friend that let us know the hot tub was clean and ready to use.

All in all we had an amazing autumnal getaway in Sherwood Forrest, I certainly had the best time with some of my best friends. I can safely speak for all of us we would highly recommend Forrest Holidays to anyone looking to experience the true English country side, or even have your own come dine with me week with your best friends.

The Daily Scoop on The Daily Soothe - A Soap and Glory Review

This is going to be a quick post but I just couldn't hide my feelings any longer...
I have found a bath revolution, might be coming on a bit strong, but I do really like this little gem from Soap and Glory called The Daily Soothe, for me this product is in describable so I am going to leave to the soap and glory website to describe this it is described on the website as;

Our new super-soothing, pre-bedtime foamy tub float is seductively scented, intensely relaxing, delightfully deluxe with luxurious long-lasting suds and sleep-inducing, muscle-relaxing and aphrodisiacal actives.

I cant say I have used it for a seductive, aphrodisiacal purpose however I have used it for a pre-bedtime and relaxing purpose and it certainly does the trick. It is basically a bubble bath in a tub, and with a very different texture, the word that springs to mind is silk, it literally feels like silk, I scoop about one and half scoops out , then hold it under the running water to make beautiful amounts of bubbles. The scent, well the scent is gorgeous, relaxing, and perfect for a pre-bedtime bath, my sleep have been a lot more consistent and I wake still smelling it, which it turn makes me wake up happy! Well worth the £8 price tag, I can see this lasting me a while.

Lunch break Hauling

Having eaten my lunch super quick, I guess I was just really hungry, I had quite a fair amount of time left of my lunch break (1 hour to be exact)  I decided to take a wonder, a ramble if you will, to my delight I found a SpaceNK, amazing or dangerous you decide?!

I had racked up quite few points on my SpaceNK indulge card, therefore I used this as excuse to treat myself. I have recently purchased and am currently trialing the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, I have to say I am not completely sold it yet. I love the finish just after application however after a few hours wear, it seems to have disappeared in certain areas, leaving me with an uneven and patchy base, however I cant work out whether this is my moisturiser that I am using in the mornings or it is the foundation it self, I am going to investigate, however while I persevering with my investigations I need a powder to even things outs during the day so I decided to get the Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Power as I had heard such good things about it, I am having one of them moments where I want to take all of my make up of and start again. I repurchased one of my new favourite products the By Terry Touch Expert Advanced, as I have already run out after having it for 2 months, well the pump has stopped working and as much as I have tried I cant get any more out so I have assumed it was finished, you may think I am crazy for repurchasing this after having it such a short while, but I honestly love it, I have even posted a review read it here. I also got a tester of the Eve Lom Restore Mask, apparently it matches up to the Glam Glow Super Mud.. we shall see!

I do love a successful shopping lunch!

Until next time,
Jess

The most wonderful time of the.... Week?!

Sunday evening is the time of the week that I look forward to most, it is always the same every week with the exception of a few products being swapped and changed about, but I can rely on my Sunday night being completely relaxing, a time that is literally all about me!

It has become almost a ritual that every Sunday evening I take all my lotions and potions (beauty products in other words) and lock myself in the bathroom for at least 30 minutes with a cup of tea. I light a few candles, grab my book and let the pamper party for one commence.

Step 1: BODY!

Run a hot bath! I grab my vast array of lush bath bombs or my many aromatherapy associates bath oils; these vary according to what mood I am in, at the moment it has been a constant rotation between my lush snow fairy bubble bar or my inner strength bath oil depending if I am feeling to have a really girly sweet pink bath or a relaxing bath where I can slip into a world of my own.
Two products that have not changed are the Soap and Glory Clean on me body wash and the Soap and Glory the Scrub of your life body scrub, I have repurchased these at least four times that is a record here at The Prophecy of Loveliness. They smell so girly but not sickly sweet it’s a sophisticated girly smell, and they leave my skin feeling so soft, silky and smelling gorgeous!
Whilst in the bath I take the opportunity to exfoliate and buff my feet and lips. DEAD SKIN BE GONE! For these I use the Sanctuary Foot Scrub for my feet obviously, I do like this however if it were to be discontinued I wouldn’t be in complete disappointment as it is ok, it does the job, I am open to offers though! For my lips I use the Lush Bubble-gum lip scrub, I love this product I have stocks and stocks of it, I think I may have been bought around five for Christmas, I will not be running low on this for a very long time. It looks delicious, smells delicious and tastes delicious, I rub it on my lips the sugar granules get rid of all the dry, dead skin on my lips, some people like to lick it off (actually recommends that you do that in the instructions) however I find the concept slightly strange, to lick my dry, dead skin from my lips off, so I simply wipe it off, if I do happen to taste some then it’s not the end of the world, bubble gum is one of my favourite flavours!

STEP 2: FACE!

My favourite part of my favourite time of the week (still with me?) is really cleansing my face and getting it squeaky clean, to achieve this I use my newly purchased Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm, I have been using this for about a month now and I have to admit I love it, it deserves all the hype it gets, it is simply incredible, I can’t see myself using anything else for a long time, if you are not an avid blog reader or beauty youtube watcher you probably do not have a clue what I am talking about so let me explain.. The Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm is a big tub of miracles, it is a balm that massage all over your face then remove it with a damp warm cloth, it dissolves your make up whilst being packed full of goodness, full to the brim with Vitamin E, Wild Sea Fennel, Moringa seed extract to purify and help to minimise the appearance of pores. Jasmine, Rose and Cederwood for all those with dull, dehydrated and mature skin and Orange, Mandarin and Neroli and Rejuvenate and revitalise the skin. So it has a something for everyone – a wonder product as such. At £34 it is an investment, but so far so very good! To follow that I use my Clarins Exfoliating Toner on two cotton pads and run it over my face to remove any traces of Cleansing Balm I have left and to gently exfoliate the skin, so far this is doing the job, I have no complaints. Both of these steps take place whist I am in the bath, once I have jumped (slowly get out being very careful not to slip) the face routine continues with a face mask, I haven’t always added this step but I have recently purchased the highly hyped up and coveted Glam Glow Super Mud Mask, this mask is AMAZING, with instant results and my black near enough gone this mask really lives up to its ‘Super’ name. After my mask has been on for 20 minutes (or spot treatment for 5 – 10 minutes) I remove it making sure every trace has gone, then I proceed with my Estee Lauder advance night repair serum, it has changed my skin, I can see why it is Estee Lauders best-selling product. It has recently been revamped and improved in my opinion. It is a cocktail of antioxidants and my skin is drinking it up, finishing up my face routine with Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre a 3 in 1 product, that promises to nourish the skin as a moisturiser, protect it from environmental damage as a primer, and it removes make up. It is a light weight moisturiser, which is what I wanted, after a heavy cleanse and tone. This is a good product and my skin a lot softer and more plump however it is slightly greasier than before, but I think that be because I am not used to wearing moisturiser all the time, being lazy I never really got in to a skin care routine until now, I have to say I am not sure if I am loving it, we shall see how I get on with it. Last but no means least I ply my lips with lashings of my EOS lip balms that I purchased in America – since then I found out that they stock EOS is Selfridges!

STEP 3: NAILS !

When my face mask is on, I take the opportunity to use that 20 minutes to paint my little tootsies (toes) with whatever colour takes my fancy that week, also if my usual Shellac French Manicure isn’t looking its tip top, or if I don’t have it done for some strange reason, I will also give myself a mini manicure; however I find doing my nails the most tedious task in history I have to have an instant drying top coat otherwise the evening becomes as relaxing as an army boot camp! At the moment I am using Sally Hansen Insta Dry top coat, it has made my nail routine a lot more enjoyable and it means I can moisturise without having to wait for my nails to dry, risking smudging if I take the plunge and moisturise to fast!

STEP 4: MOISTURISING!

There is nothing that makes you feel more luxurious than body butter, I have two favourites The Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter – shocking another Soap and Glory products, can you tell I love this brand? The Righteous Butter smells incredible, and it doesn't take ages to dry, and it leaves the skin so soft and moisturised, need I say more? The other body butter that I use is my most favourite beauty product of all time, there I said it, my favourite, it is the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Body Cream at £55 it is the most expensive product I own however I love it, it sits on my dressing table like it is the queen sitting in the palace, my parents kindly bought me this for Christmas, it is only used on very special occasions or when I am feeling particularly awful because this just instantly cheers me up, this also moisturises my body like no other, and the scent stays on my covers and on me until the morning, with Coco Mademoiselle is my perfume of choice I have no complaints in the slightest.
If I have an event in the week or I am feeling ever so slightly pale I will grab my St Tropez gradual tanning lotion, I use this very rarely in the place of my body butter/body lotion. I finish off my moisturising step with hand lotion and I use, surprise, surprise the Soap and Glory Hand Food, do I need to elaborate?! I think not.

STEP 5: SLEEP!

We all know that sleep is oh so important when it comes down to beauty hence the term ‘Beauty Sleep’, sometimes I need that little push to get to sleep, I make myself an Earl Grey Tea, spray my pillow with Boots Pillow Spray in Lavender and grab my laptop put Sex and The City on and that is it, my night complete, I am in dream world!

Until next time,
Jess

The Blogger made me buy it tag.

This tag is everywhere I read - It would be rude not to do it.
I have been reading blogs and watching youtube for about 5 years now, its my favourite thing to do, get cosy and read blogs.
I came across this blog when reading the original over on Daniellas blog Famous In Japan - read it here, I loved it so I am doing it, got to share the love somehow!

Who are your most influential bloggers? Who are the ones that you really rely on for reviews and swatches?

This one is quite easy for me, as I find myself reading these blogs on a daily basis. I really enjoy grabbing a cuppa and reading Viviannadoesmakeup – my bank balance has definitely taken a knock from a fair few of her posts, she has excellent taste, and her skincare videos and posts have inspired my new skincare routine. I also love to read Fleur De Force who I have been watching on youtube and reading her blog from the very beginning, everything she likes I know will be good, she has never steered me wrong with her reviews! I am heavily influenced by pictures (I know I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover – but when it comes with a good review it’s allowed) and Em from The Accessory has the most amazing pictures and I can be persuaded buy products from her pictures alone!

Do you buy a product solely as a result from one review from your favourite bloggers, or do you look for more reviews from others?

This definitely depends on the product, if it is a colour product such as lipstick or nail polish and I like the colour I will go out and buy it, however if it is foundation, skin care and things that could irritate my skin, I will look into it a lot more. On the whole I do look into products but sometimes I do buy things in excitement.

What is your most favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?

My aromatherapy associates bath oils, I adore them! Again these are all under Viviannadoesmakeup‘s recommendation.

What is your least favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?

I really didn't like the Revlon Lip Butters, I bought two and really disliked them both - controversial I know.

Name 5 products you have bought recently as a result of blogs.
I have just purchased a whole new skin care routine – I know it is a lot, but my skin is having a the biggest hissy fit it has ever had. So with that said I have ordered, The Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm, GLAMGLOW Super Mud Mask, La Roche Posay Serozinc and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, and last but hopefully not least Embryolisse Lait-Creme-Concentre.... goodbye paycheck!

Have you ever given into blogger hype? If so, which hype?

The Naked palette, I have both and dying to get my hands on the third, I am trying to wait until my birthday in a couple of months to get the Naked 3, so far I have pondering getting it every day.

Have you ever avoided blogger hype? If so, which hype?

The Clarisonic – simply because I am scared to use it, I am having a tough time with all the breakouts on my face at the moment; it seems my skin is very sensitive; I am worried this will irritate my skin all the more.

Is everything you buy based on blogger reviews or are there some items you buy without checking out a review?

I am an impulsive person, I will go into a shop and buy things on a whim, so I have acquired most of my products that way, so no not all of my purchases are based on blogger reviews, some are though.

Have you completed this tag?

It's a good'un!

Getting my smarts on - Book Review

I have fallen in love with a book...

I am not an avid reader by any means, but I do like to read from time to time, I get quite attached to the books that I read, I have no idea why but I always go back and read them again and again. Maybe its a comfort thing, I don't know.

The book in question is Welcome to Rosie Hopkins Sweetshop of Dreams by Jenny Colgan. This is the what the websites say..
Were you a sherbet lemon or chocolate lime fan? Penny chews or hard boiled sweeties (you do get more for your money that way)? The jangle of your pocket money ...the rustle of the pink and green striped paper bag ...Rosie Hopkins thinks leaving her busy London life, and her boyfriend Gerard, to sort out her elderly Aunt Lilian's sweetshop in a small country village is going to be dull. Boy, is she wrong. Lilian Hopkins has spent her life running Lipton's sweetshop, through wartime and family feuds. As she struggles with the idea that it might finally be time to settle up, she also wrestles with the secret history hidden behind the jars of beautifully coloured sweets. Welcome to Rosie Hopkins' Sweetshop of Dreams - a novel - with recipes. *Winner of the RNA Romantic Novel of the Year Award 2013*

Needless to say, from the first line of this review, you knew I just loved this book. I can't say enough good things about it - I mean whats not to love, romance, bit of history and SWEETS!
I picked this book up in WHSmiths at Gatwick airport just before my holiday last year. I am not going to beat around the bush and say I picked this book up because I had read lots of reviews and so on, I just picked this up on a whim, the title intrigued me, it was right up my street.
The thing I love most about this book is the way that Jenny Colgan tells the tale of two women, in installments of their lives throughout the entire book, picking up where each one left off, with cliffhangers pulling you in, feeling a need to want to know what happens next. Lilians 1940's installments were a pleasure to read if you are like me and love a bit of history. I become quite invested in both characters and both of whom I found myself really rooting for, Rosie is a bit of black sheep in the family as is Lilian, Rosie is a bit of an under achiever with a fully grown child for a boyfriend but she is still bubbly, positive and upbeat - it is refreshing to say the least.
There is just the right amount of romance in both Rosie and Lilians tales, with strapping young men in each installment of both of their lives, but the main relationship and dare I say love story in the novel is between Rosie and her great aunt Lilian, in most romantic novel the two main characters have to overcome obstacles, feelings and conflicts to gain such a bond, there is no exception here. Rosie is just what Lilian needed and Lilian is just what Rosie needed, its a match made in heaven!

I cant praise this book enough, there are plenty of things to love about this book, I urge to go and get yourself a copy of this book it is 'Sheer Indulgence'

By Terry - Touch Expert Advanced

After the party season my under eyes have been looking a little lack luster, I can't avoid the fact that my nights out over the party season are etched onto my face in the form of dark under eye circles. To combat this I decided to take the plunge and buy the By Terry - Touch Expert Advanced , a product I had been lusting after for some time; I would be browsing my local Space NK, for some reason I would always find myself over by the By Terry counter looking and swatching the miracle under eye concealer/highlighter - I think I may be being a little over dramatic by saying miracle but it does work wonders for me.

The Touch Expert Advanced comes from the lady who designed the coveted YSL - Touche Eclat (Terry de Gunzburg), upon leaving YSL she created her own cosmetics line. Obviously she used her previous ideas to come out with a revamped , improved version for her own line, I can safely say with out a shadow of a doubt that it is a lot better than the YSL Touche Eclat, and the YSL Touche Eclat is a good product which means the By Terry Touch Expert Advanced is a GREAT product!

Both have a very similar packaging and application. I found the By Terry is a lot more concealing as opposed the YSL, I would feel quite comfortable putting the By Terry on a spot, or over wrinkles and not be worried that I am highlighting my imperfections, making them even more horrendous than they already look. The By Terry gives an almost blurred effect to the skin, covering anything without looking cakey, because it blends so seamlessly and effortlessly. I does come with a hefty price tag at £32 (cue gasps) but I am afraid to say I don't think my make up bag would be complete without it now. I do not have a bad word to say about the product.

Extra note: I wear shade 2 Nude.

What have you done today to make you feel proud...

Hello Chickies,

Have you ever had one of them days where are you boiling over with anger, or shaking in rage, or over flowing with tears? I am having one today, so I thought what better way to feel better than to write out how I cheer myself up and stay positive!

First things first - Think happy thoughts..
Sounds simple but it can be one of the most difficult things to do when you are having a 'bad' day, I often get stuck in the dulldrums. To pull myself out of my mood I think of a time when I was most happy and I smile, making me feel much better!

Secondly - MUSIC..
My most favourite thing to do to get me out of the dulldrums is to listen to my 'Feel Good' music, yes I have an entire playlist dedicated to feeling good! It is AMAZING! If you're like me you will love a bit of Stevie Wonder and old school RnB - ohhh yhhh I love a good dance, no matter how much of a bad mood I am in when I am listening to my music I always seem to do a little dance, and just doing my little dance makes me laugh (mainly because I look stupid) = instantly cheered up.

Thirdly - Compliments..
Giving someone a compliment and getting a thank you and smile back. Makes me feel good, simple!

and last but not least..
Do something you have been wanting to do but haven't got round to doing it yet. It can be from changing your hair colour to posting a letter, it always makes me feel better, I feel I have accomplished something, and it makes me feel proud, as the title suggests.

I hope if your in a bad mood this post makes your day that little bit better.

Until next time,
Jess
